The Yampa Valley BCA Pool League is the premier destination for competitive 8-ball billiards in Oak Creek. Sanctioned by Cue Sports International (CSI), our league is built on a foundation of sportsmanship, community, and the timeless tradition of a Wednesday night at the table.
We bring together players of all skill levels to compete in a structured, handicapped format that ensures every match is competitive and every player has a chance to win. Whether you’re a seasoned player looking for serious competition or a casual player wanting to sharpen your game, our league offers an organized, fun, and inclusive environment for everyone.
Why Play BCA?
As a CSI-sanctioned league, our players enjoy standardized rules, professional stat tracking, and the opportunity to qualify for regional and national tournaments. It’s more than just a game at the bar—it’s a chance to be part of a larger network of players across the country.
Join the Action
We are always looking for new players and teams to join the rotation. Come down on a Wednesday night to see the action firsthand, or contact us to find out how to get on the roster for the upcoming season.
Our Mission: To promote the sport of billiards in the Yampa Valley through fair play, community engagement, and a shared love for the game.
Current League Format & Schedule

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do I need to be a “pro” to join? Absolutely not. Because the league is handicapped, players of all abilities are welcome. Your handicap adjusts based on your performance, ensuring fair play for everyone.
What happens during the June break? While the main 8-ball season pauses, we don’t put the cues away! For those who want to keep playing, we run a separate, shorter 14-week 9-ball session during the summer months. It’s a great way to stay sharp and try a different discipline.
What if I can’t make it every Wednesday? With an 8-person roster and only 5 players needed per night, our format is designed for flexibility. You can rotate play with your teammates as needed.
How do I join a team? The best way to get involved is to stop by either venue on a Wednesday night to see where the League Operator is playing that night, or contact us via Email to be added to our “Free Agent” list.
Did you know? In the Yampa Valley BCA, a Break and Run is a “Shutout.” If you don’t touch the table, you don’t get the points. Chalk up and get ready for the next rack!
What is FargoRate? FargoRate is the universal rating system for pool players worldwide, maintained by CueSports International (CSI). Unlike old systems that used local “averages,” FargoRate uses a mathematical formula to rate players based on their performance against others. Because it’s a global system, a “450” in Oak Creek is the same as a “450” in Las Vegas.
